With her single, “Download & Delete,” out now, we took some time to hear more from Cindy Chiche. Read below to learn more about Cindy Chiche, the story behind her single, and what’s to come.

Hi Cindy Chiche! What city are you from and where are you based now?

I was born and raised in Nice, France, and I am now living in Fredericia, Denmark.

At what point in your life did you decide to pursue a career in music? How did you get started?

I’ve actually always known that I wanted to make music. I don’t know where it comes from because no one in my family are musicians. But, I’ve been singing since I was little and started writing when I was about 12.

Has your upbringing played a role in shaping who you are and defining your sound today? If so, how?

I remember I actually started writing music when we moved to Denmark after my parents got divorced, and my dad moved back to France. I think music was a good place for me to write all my feelings down because it wasn’t always easy moving to a different city.

How would you describe your sound to readers who may not be familiar with you?

Relatable and honest Pop music.

Do you have any hobbies outside of music? What do you do to stay creative?

Almost everything I do has something to do with music. But, if I have time, I actually sometimes work in a kindergarten or at a hotel to be inspired by different surroundings.

Who are some of your main musical influences?

I’ve always looked up to Miley Cyrus because she has always been herself no matter what people thought of her.

Who would be a dream to collaborate with?

My dream collaboration would be with Miley Cyrus.

What are some of your future music career goals?

My goals are that people know my songs, dance, and sing along to them. And, I would love to play more international, and that my songs are played on the radio outside of Denmark.

Now onto your release, “Download & Delete.” What inspired this song?

The dating app, “Tinder,” is the inspiration to the song.

What is “Download & Delete” about in your own words?

Me and my girlfriends have been so tired of Tinder. People are on the app to have fun and maybe find the love of their lives; however, there are so many men that have no respect and think they can write anything because they are hidden behind a screen.

What is your favorite lyric in “Download & Delete” and why?

“Got a French attitude, je ne me laisse pas faire” ( I don’t put up with anything).

What message do you hope fans take away from your music and from “Download & Delete?”

That sometimes it’s okay to say no, and stand up for what you want and who you are. It’s okay to be selfish when it’s about finding someone to spend the rest of your life with. And, maybe delete Tinder and meet people in real life haha.

What’s one of your proudest moments of your music career so far?

My proudest moments are when my songs got played on national radio stations in Denmark, and when people I don’t know, know my songs.

What would you say are the greatest lessons you’ve learned so far?

To stand up for who you are, and it’s okay that not everyone likes you.

What’s next for you? Are you working on any upcoming projects that we should be on the lookout for?

My next single is coming out on the 9th of April, and with it, I’ll be releasing my first music video.
