Alx the Ace Releases “Altar Ego”

Alx the Ace releases inaugural EP, “Look What You’ve Become.” The six-song EP features songs with various sounds. The EP starts off with a jazzy record then switches back and forth between Hip-Hop/Rap and R&B/Soul. The majority of the songs are very heartfelt and allows listeners inside, demonstrating that Alx the Ace doesn’t mind being vulnerable as an artist. “The EP is a collection of personal songs that were created during a hectic time, and serves as an homage to the beautiful imperfections and pains of growing up in a foreign world following the untimely death of my father,” Alx the Ace explains.

“Altar Ego” is essentially the alter ego of the EP. “Altar Ego” is a fun, hype track that can been seen as a break or an interlude from the deep tone of the rest of the EP. “Altar Ego” puts Alx the Ace’s masterful lyricism on full display on top of a bouncy, trappy instrumental. The summer bop will have listeners turning their speakers up to full volume and reciting the words non-stop for weeks, months, and maybe even years to come.
